i just wanted to thank everyone who helped us through the 1st month

of the SCD. we almost had to admit my son to the hospital after 9

days of being on a food strike because he got so weak and lost so

much weight but now he is eating a wide variety of foods and lots of

it!! he even gobbled down a full jar of homemade yogurt tonight. we

mix a lot of different foods into either pureed cooked pears or

apples like spaghetti squash, cranberries, mangos, string beans, pot

roast and chicken. if he spills any on himself or the table he

scrapes every bit of it up with his spoon and eats it. for the boy

who was addicted to cold jarred baby food, cornpops & potato chips

this is a complete miracle! this month he learned how to feed

himself, eat warm meals, tries new foods and eats real fruits,

veggies & meats. he still won't touch any of the baked goods but we

will keep trying. he has been eating way too much fruit so we get

several stools per day but they are all " trophies " . no more diarhea.

we are almost out of nystatin raw powder. he has been on this

protocol since mid sept. his DAN doc told us to ween him off now but

i am so afraid the yeast could grow back and stronger. how long do

most asd kids stay on nystatin?

also, are we ready to do the INTRO scd for a couple days. he is not

having stool issues now but he never really did the intro diet

correctly when we started since he wouldn't eat anything the 1st 9

days.
