Guest guest
If a food has an ambiguous ingredient such as " spices " , is that legal? The Applegate Farms Turkey Baloney my kids love lists " spices " as an ingredient. Everything else looked okay & I'd like to know if it's still going to be okay for them. Thanks, Michele
Guest guest
From what I understand, you can't trust it saying just spices. It needs to list every individual spice just like with it saying natural flavors. Guest guest
Illegal ingredients can be hidden under the heading " spices " . Same goes for " natural flavors " . Both of these categories allow all kinds of things and still comply with state or federal labeling laws. You would have to get written confirmation from the company about EXACTLY what they include as " spices " .... and they may not want to tell you, if their recipe is proprietary. Patti " Spices " ?
