Guest guest
I dont know why the docs do half of what they do. I suppose they have to consider the function of the pancreas and how different parts of the organ have differnt functions. There is still a lot about it that is unknown. Diabetes and being a brittle diabetic is a major concern after a total. The auto transplant of islet cells is a relatively new treatment for pancreatitis. Not too many places offer it and from what I understand the equipment to isolate and prepare the islet cells costs in the billions. I still dont know if the doc in cinci will even do me. I'm sorry your back has gone out. Have you been using a walker for very long? Have you had any sugery on your pancreas? I like the name Denim, sounds like a good name for a country and western musician. Better put a guitar in that boys hands your a lot closer to Nashville then I am. My son is 14 and has been taking lessons since he was 6. I also have 2 daughters 18 and one 9. I cant wait until they get settled into a school routine. I have heard some good things about the endoscopic celiac plexus blocks. Been actually considering it myself. I haven't heard a lot of good about the spinal ones, those do make me a little nervous too. The endoscopic one have some pretty good outcomes but I think you have to have a few, one every 3 months a couple of times, before achieve seeing long term relief. Long term being 3-6 months with out pain. Well I do hope you feel better and I appreciate the warm thoughts. Chrissy
