Guest guest
Okay, experienced peeps. The surgeon's nurse only told me to pack a little overnight type case. Wear the clothes I want to wear home. What else? I assume they will not let me wear my own PJ's as I will look like a Borg after the Whipple. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Were you folks up to listening to CD's? I was on so much Demerol during my acute attacks I just slept all of the time. That way I didn't think about drinking a huge iced tea and having a cigarette. Ah, day four on the presurgery non-smoking. I feel like a huge grumpazoid. Hopefully I go through total withdrawals while in ICU and never go back to the habit. If you guys can't eat fat or sugar...what do you eat? I am not diabetic so I live on Honey Nut Chex and skim milk. No pain with that. I am asking because I have a 25% chance of coming out of this as a diabetic. I sent Mark Armstrong a beautiful ditty called the Rainbow Bridge. It is for comfort when one loses a pet. Not the correct forum to post here but I would be happy to share it with anyone who is interested. Someone framed it for us when we lost our beloved Gunter to the same disease as Mark's darling. Thank you guys for being here on this forum. You have helped me so much. Just snapping out denial is a huge thing.
