Hi Sara--

I'm in San Diego. My son, Merrick also runs warm, but he adjusted to

the band, it just took a couple days. You will just need to dress him

light, and I leave the ceiling fan on on nights when it's a bit

warmer.

I can't believe your ped told you to sleep him in the carseat--weird.

So, Merrick was 3-months when our ped caught the plagio and referred

us to Cranial Technologies. We did repo for a month and banded at 4.5

months. At that age, it usually is 8-10 weeks, it is dependent on how

quickly their head grows during that time. In some cases they

recommend a second band, but if you start early, like you are, you

will probably see quick results.

For that month and a half before the band, I was posessed with

repositioning, and we had some good results (nothing as quick as the

band though). I have lots of suggestions on what you can do--email me

any time. One of the best things I found was to keep rolled up towels

and blankets around the house and in the car, so that I could prop

him up off the flat spot.

Merrick also has facial asymatry (in his eyes and ears). Yes, they

can correct, although the ears are usually at the end. We have

already seen some change in the ears, as we go into our last 2-3

weeks in the band.
