Guest guest
Hi to all. Well I still haven't heard anything from my surgeon. The surgeon I was supposed to see in Toronto moved and my doctor didnt' know that. So i've been sitting here waiting for nothing. He's now thinking about where to send me next for stenting. I was wondering is it normal with chronic pancreatitis (which they still won't say for sure if I have it) to get really bad diarrhea. I have IBS and can't tell if it's that or my pancreas that is causing the problem. It's been going on for about 5 days now. And it's really starting to clear me out and dehydrate me. I'm also just pouring in sweat. Even the slighest activity and i'm drenched. My lipase level is back up to around 2200. I'm just so frustrated with feeling this sick and not being able to do anything. My pain level is okay as long as I take about 10mg of morphine and numerous extra strength tylenol and gravol. The really frustrating thing is besides the stenting I don't think there is anything else they can do. My pancreas looks normal on all tests, including an ERCP,MRCP and ct scans. So I know they wouldn't do any surgery. It's hard to put my faith in stenting when I know it may not work with me. Thanks, Jen
Guest guest
Jen this is in Toronto I just went for a cat scan yesterday and have an appointment with a pancreatic specialist at Princess Margaret Hospital downtown today. Perhaps you doctor could refer you to him. I dont know what he is like my surgeon refered me to him but he says he is good.
