Guest guest
Dear Jim, yes I had that problem too, because at home, I only have MS Word 97 since I almost always use Word Perfect 8. But I sent the unopened attachment to myself at my office where someone had MS2000 software and opened it on their computer that way. A real roundabout way of doing things but it worked. I'm sure others have done this also. > I sent my package to Dr. Rutledge and immediately got back an e-mail telling me that my insurance papers were attached using MS2000. I don't have MS2000, I have WordPerfect 6.0. When I called the office they told me that I was the only one who hed ever had a problem and that it would be difficult for me to receive and complete the insurance letter any other way. Is this possible?,. Am I the only one who doesn't have MS2000? Has anyone else had this problem and, if you did, how was it solved. Everything else went very smoothly until I hit this obstacle. > > Thanks, > > >

You should be able to use ms2000 to save the doc. in any format you want including WordPerfect and Word 97. All you do, is have your friend open the attachment then use the " SAVE AS " feature to save the document in the format you want. When the window opens after you press " SAVE AS " down at the very bottom of that window you will see that the document is saved in what ever format you received it in. You just press the little down arrow to the right and all the different formats will appear for you to choose. If you aren't sure what to save it as you can always save it in " Text Format " all the software programs can read this format. When you request info from Dr. R. or someone else who is using MS2000 or what ever as them to save it in the format you are using. You also can save your WordPerfect document in MS97 format when you use the " SAVE AS " feature. Hope this helps.
