I have to tell you the background before I tell you this story.

When I was pregnant with our last child (3 1/2 years ago) my husband

and I decided that he would stay home with the baby and be a Mr. Mom.

He has since also taken a morning paper route. Many of you know that

the Sunday paper has an abundance of coupons and with 6 kids we need

all the help we can get. My husband gets the coupons from the Sunday

returns and all the coupons from a retirement home (with their

permission). Therefore, every Sunday we have about 30 sets of

coupons.

Well, my dh got so good at shopping that our grocery bill is only

about $50 per month, but we have a pantry that could feed thousands.

In his defense he also sets up a table at the flea market 4-5 times

per summer and gets rid of a lot of the excess and usually comes home

with about $500-$600 mad money-read his shopping habits net us about

$1000 per year.

When I told him that I was supposed to eat yogurt every day twice a

day he went a little nuts and bought about 100 Yoplait Custard-style

yogurts (mostly vanilla because that is all the store had) for .03

per yogurt (with double coupon). I didn't know what else to do so I

froze them. Well, they are really, really good frozen.

Added bonus-if you wash and send in the pink lids they will donate

money to fight breast cancer. I think this is a very worthwhile

cause and it is really good yogurt (if you like yogurt).

So, sorry for the long post, but I wanted to brag and plug at the

same time. BTW, he is a great father too, but he is a terrible

housekeeper-oh well-I can't fix the car so we're even I guess.

Best Regards,
