Guest guest
http://clos.net/transformations/trans-tk.htm Hi Doc, I had the greatest weekend of my life and wanted to share it with you, your patients, and prospective patients. It's been 16 months since I had surgery and I've lost 125#. Many post OP's know that it takes a long time before we start seeing ourselves differently. Many will also acknowledge hitting that first plateau and thinking that we will be the one patient that this procedure does not work for. We have so many insecurities after suffering the prejudices towards obese people. I finally realize how much I have truly changed. Not just physically, but emotionally as well. In Fairbanks we have had a cold and wet summer so I was well clothed most of the season. While everyone can obviously see I have lost a lot of weight you never really know what someone really looks like until they get into something skimpy. Saturday night I modeled an evening gown in a fashion show. The gown was beautiful beaded silk with beaded spaghetti straps and quite form fitting. When I reached the end of the runway and looked into the audience I saw several friends that have known me for years and the looks on their faces when they realized it was me they were looking at was priceless, but my greatest reward came when their jaws literally drop to their chests. I felt like the bell of the ball and was complimented all evening long. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to begin a new life with a strong healthy body and the peace of mind that only self confidence can offers. Gob Bless You!
