Hi Patty or who ever has an answer,

I have a question for you. Kiki's EEG did come back positive for seizure

activity. What did Elaine say about SCD controlling seizures? I read what is

on Pecan Bread is there more? Could you send me anything that you have or

share what she told you guys when she was here with us.

The doctor says that since she seems to be getting control with SCD that it is

truly our choice to try the meds. What appeared on the EEG is mild. But I have

read that meds can help speech. What do you know? Heck...SCD has improved her

speech.

They are going to discuss side affects and such next visit in two weeks. As you

know we have seen much improvement with diet alone. I know that meds have many

side affects. What do you think since your little one has seizures too?

The seizures that Kiki has now are very fast a mild ones. She had one last June

and the day before Thanksgiving. So they are not frequent. They drop her to

the floor, only lasting a few seconds. Not the grand mal type. Some occur in

her sleep, she awakens crying or screaming, then goes back to sleep. If SCD

alone is going to be enough I would hate to deal with the side affects of meds.

But if meds will help we shall try them. Soul searching again. Trying to find

out what is best.
