Guest guest
Michele, I *think* the typical issues with almonds are related to salicylates...not sure ??? My daughter has no problems with them, and I'm not sure I have that right. I just know that some can't tolerate them. I guess " sensitivity " is the right word.... not exactly allergy. It's one of those things where many kids can tolerate them later on.... after some gut healing has occurred. I'm sure you'd already know if your daughter was sensitive to them. Patti Re: Almond vs. Pecan Flour I heard once that almonds are related to peaches but haven't really looked into it. She was allergy tested (scratch test) & came up highly allergic to all tree nuts except not almonds. She's also fine with peanuts (a legume). You mentioned kids having issues with almonds; are those typical allergy issues that I'd be able to tell right away? I have the other two boys & for someday, the baby as well (although I eat almonds & he nurses). I'm wondering about my autistic son. Thanks, Michele New Message Search Find the message you want faster. Visit your group to try out the improved message search.
