My pain ALWAYS starts in the night - or early mornign waking me up. I am

like Kimber - I go straight to the ER. My levels still rise so I am usually at

2000-8000 amalyse and Lipase numbers, so of course, i am admitted.

In my area (Mesa, AZ) I find that the ER is caught up from the night around

8:00 a.m. so I try to go between 7 and 8 a.m. and can usually get right in. If

I go between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. I am sitting at least four hours in

PAIN!!!

Once in a while the attack starts slowly. I wake up and take vicodin, go to

work, call the dr. get my labs go back to work, in a couple of hours the dr.

calls and says he is going to admit me, and I try to finish working (so I don't

have too many sick days) and go straight to the hospital after work! I try

to hide my illness from my co-workers/boss, as there certainly are negatives by

" always " sick when it comes to the work world - promotions, etc. and I am

still trying to advance in my career.
