Guest guest
I cant believe you have not seen a doc in 3 months. I take it they did not put any drains in you during the surgery. I am still seeing the surgeon for post op care. Usually covered by ins. cos for 10 weeks post op follow up care. What kind of incision did they do. What is the route cause for your panc. Since they took the tail, have you spoken to any one about the risks of diabetes? Did they give you immunizations, like the pneumonia shot, before your surgery? You need to be seen by your phisician as soon as you can. I dont know which one, but you should have been checked out a long long time ago by somebody. I'm just shocked that you have not received the post op care that is the standard of practice. I am still seeing my surgeon, was every weeks, then 2 weeks for quite some time and now 4 weeks. I will probably seem him continuely throught out the remainder of the year. Is this type of treament common among for people after sugery? Maybe I am just spoiled because the docs and I have known each other for so long. But i know if I had a serious problem, they would be all over me and I wouldn't worry about who would provide care. I must admit I have received excellent care from all the physicians, residents and nurses that I have come in contact with. If I called them, I dont doubt for one second I would get a call back promptly. This allows me a lot of sercurity and comfort. You deserve the same. You need to get in touch with one of those guys and tell them how you feel and that you need to be seen asap. Dont fall back, be strong. Goo luck,.
