Welcome to the group Ethel,

Sorry to hear that you need us but glad that you found us. This is the greatest group of people that you will ever have the opportunity to meet. They will help you in anyway they can. If they don't know the answers they will point you in the right direction to find them.

I have been diagnosed with RP for over 8 years. I lead a fairly normal life. I was diagnosed in the early stages and my meds keep mine pretty much under control.

Please feel free to ask all the questions that you would like. That is what we are all here for. Don't believe everything you read. Some of it is old and I think they try to scare the pants off you to start with so that when it isn't so bad you are relieved!

My name is Glenda and I live in Oregon. I am 45 with two grow children and am raising my soon to be 7 yr. old granddaughter Shae. I am on an anti-rejection drug and take pred. only when I have to for flares. Pred is the wonder drug for RP but it sure does the number on you body. Like I said before I lead a fairly normal life (well for me) and work a 40 hour work week. To look at me you wouldn't know I had RP. Just a few aches and pains here and there once in awhile.

Please tell us a little about you. We love to get to know everyone. This is like a big extended family. WE CARE!

Hi Glenda nice to meet you. You say you live in Oregon. I have a

daughter that lives in Central Point.

I am from Juneau Alaska, my husband and I own a car rental agency

here, and are very busy in the summer time with the tourists and

cruise ships.

This is a beautiful city and I love living here. I was born in

London England, and have been in Alaska since 1975. Like to travel

in our 5th wheel and escape the cold winter. We have three rather

large Pomeranian dogs, large that is for a toy breed, ranging from 9

- 12 lbs. They travel with us.........I like to oil paint when I

have the time, and bowl until I tore a rotator cuff in my shoulder

last summer. That put a kybosh on golf also, but hope to get back

into that again as my arm gets stronger.
