Guest guest
Well Liz, as another Brit I will send on what we did for the 4th. By the way did anybody in the states ask you if we have a 4th of July in England?????LOL Went to two barbecues yesterday. Was asked at one why I looked sad, and I said I was wearing black as I was in mourning for the colonies!!!!!!! We have our fireworks here in Juneau on July 3rd at midnight, as that is when it gets dark enough to see them. At 6.30 pm we went to a reception on a USS Young that is docked in town for a week and which was very nice. Wish I was young and single with all those good looking sailors around! Had to go through a security devise like is at airports before we was allowed aboard, I was soooooo disapointed that they was not hand frisking the ladies. (just kidding of course) At 9.30 pm after the reception, we went on another boat, a catamaran, for a cruise down the Gastineau Channel and back, watching the fireworks at midnight from the boat along with champagne and hor-derves. The fireworks are fired from a float in the channel. So it was all very pretty. Got home at 2 am and fell into bed exhausted. Didnt go to the parade down town yesterday, the 4th, as it was raining, and do you know I HAVE never been to one of the towns parades. (Shame on me!) Geo and I were going to take the boat out to fish for Halibut but the rain put the kybosh on that, so went to the two barbecues that we was invited to instead. Only ate at one though.............Got to stop all of this socializing and eating with my Chlorestrial up to 285, but I want to cram in all I can while I am feeling good. Hope all of your 4th's were as good, in the US, England, Canada or where ever. Ethel, Effo or FO
Guest guest
Hi . I am feeling fine right now. Get tired easily so go and take a nap every afternoon. Have an appt with a Rhumatologist (sp?) that is coming to town from Virginia Mason in Seattle, a Dr. Hillsen, on the 19th. Going in the hosp for the day on the 28th, (I think) for a colonoscopy, and have a dentist appt on the 9th. (tell me why the dentist needs to know about the RP, as I was having toothache before and during the flare that I had, wondered if that had anything to do with it). Have another doctors appt with the regular GP next week also. She wanted to put me on Prozac as she said I was depressed. She gave me a four month supply of it for free! My hubby took things into his own hands and bought me a beautiful black Sedan DeVille Cadillac to take me out of depression. You know it sure worked.............so didn't take the Prozac! Oh well, life goes on! Effo
