Paint-it-yourself-ers -- I need help!

I painted my daughter's DOC band several days ago using the

instructions in the decorating file (very helpful!) It turned out

great, but we've got one problem. My daughter has recently decided to

sleep on her tummy, and the paint job on the part of the band across

her forehead and the little " tabs " in front of her ears are taking a

beating because there are so many edges to " catch " on the sheets. The

paint keeps " sliding " up in a couple spots. I've fixed it once, but I

don't want to keep taking the helmet off her every few days to do what

is a fairly time-consuming touch-up job by the time I do primer, 3

coats of base, and varnish. It's not such a big area, but the drying

time really adds up, and the most important thing is for the baby to be

in the helmet as much as possible!

Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas how to fix it?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Alison
