Hello Everyone,

I have been reading all the info provided by you for

quite sometime now in an effort to make a decision on

pursuing this surgery. I am so excited to report I

will be going to my first clinic visit on Oct. 3rd at

9:00 am. I have started working on my packet because

I figured it would probably take some time to do and I

wanted to get it done as quickly as possible.

Like everyone else I have been battling my weight

problem since childhood and have tried virtually

everything, you know what I mean!!!! I came to the

decision to do this after a lot of research and

talking to a very nice woman who works with my husband

for the State of North Carolina who had the MGB and is

doing so fabulously.

I would be grateful for anyone who would be willing to

be a contact for me or provide support. Just to

provide a little info on myself I am 30, married, have

an 11yo daughter and live in Raleigh, NC. I have been

in college for 5 years and took a leave of absence

this year. I had spent last year in my first year of

medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill and due to my lack

of stamina (weight), and some family concerns had to

take the year off to reevaluate. I really want to go

back to school next fall but I know I cannot succeed

if I don't loose the weight. I have a real type-A

personality and will do whatever it takes to succeed.

But, like many of you I'm sure, this is the one thing

I have never been able to succeed at. I feel like the

MGB is the answer to my prayers and hope that I can

get through the process and have my surgery asap!!!!!

Good luck to everyone and if anyone has gone through

the insurance process with the State of North Carolina

Comprehensive Major Medical Plan and has any tips,

news, or otherwise I would appreciate any info.

Thank-you all,

Price
