Guest guest
Dear Carol, We understand all about those " bad days " . Feel free to vent your frustration and upset any time, that's what the board's here for. There isn't any one of us who hasn't had a bad day, or twenty, at some time while dealing with this disease. I remember saying something very similar to your comment about heartburn turning into a nightmare when I first joined this board three years ago as a novice CP patient. I'd just had my first diagnosed acute attack and subsequent diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis and I thought I was the only one in the world with this horrible problem. What a relief it was to find this site, and allow myself to open up and discuss my fears and anxieties with the group! Within a short time afterward, instead of feeling frustrated and alone, I felt accepted and enpowered with my new found knowledge...ready to tackle the problems and find solutions that would make living with CP easier. I hope you'll find the answers you need here, and the comfort and compassion that will help you to move forward. I'm sorry that your lap procedure was unsuccessful. There are several people in the group that have already had the Whipple. If you have any questions about this procedure, you might post them to the board and see what kind of a response you get. Where are you located? When is this surgery supposed to be performed? Please feel free to write back and let us know how you're doing. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
