You will have to use your own judgment on this Michele. Unfortunately you can't

expect

permission from the moderators to approve untested store bought products. It has

been

repeatedly explained why we discourage this yet people persist in asking for

approval.

Usually the moderators suggest you keep a food log and if there are negative

symptoms,

remove the food in question.

If there are no added ingredients hopefully the strips are OK. ( Personally, it

takes me

about 16 seconds to cut meat in strips and not have to thaw it or add packages

to the

recycle box)

I'm new & am really going out of my mind right now, truly, so I'm

honestly just trying to understand.

Are absolutely *no* boxed meats alloewd, even if the ingredients are

just whatever meat it is?

Thanks, Michele

You will have to make your own decision as I said before.

I use frozen organic chicken pieces with nothing added. If there is nothing but

meat in the

strips they should be OK but how can we approve a product we have not seen or

tried?

Maybe that's a different product. The box I have is red &

says " Ingredients: Beef " . All I know is they're a little greasy, but

we drain them & the kids love them. They never tasted like anything

else was in there, but maybe I'll call the company if I can get the

chance.

While on the topic of pkgd meats, I have always used , Bell &

, & Applegate Farms for organic turkey, chicken, & beef

burgers. They all say just the meat as the ingredient (Applegate

Farms has them as GFCF on their website). Any experience with the

other two?

I've tasted those & they're very plain as well; doesn't taste like

they've added anything.

Thanks again,

Michele

websites that listed two different things as being listed

ingredients for Steak-Ums. Maybe it depends on what part of the

country a person is in..... but anyway, here are the two listings I

found:

modified food starch >>

other things, not evey the " natural flavors " , then okay. I would

still feel funny about using this product, personally.... but that's

just me.

because all kinds of things, including sugars and starches (and MSG)

can be hidden under that labeling.

plain chicken breasts in the frozen section usually have additives

that are questionable/borderline legal.... if not flat-out illegal.

We just don't want you to use something that could possibly include

something you don't realise is there.
