Yes, SCD legal yogurt starters are necessary to ferment the lactose

in the milk. If you don't use a starter you will have lactose in

the milk. You can find some legal starters at

to " Beginners " at

Then go to " Scd Yogurt " and then " The type of yogurt to use "
