Without warning or special reason. Normaly I take Ketogan tablet 5 mg as soon as I fell just a little pain. I rest totaly for 5 hours and in this way I am on my feet again. Otherwise I can be in pain for up to one hour because my stomach will not absorbe the tablet proberly and I have to continue with Ketogan for up to 24 hours. In most cases I can can solve this problem taking Ketogan supp., but when the pain is to strong I also get diarrhoea. Pain at night is always strong from the first moment. I often dream I am in pain and wake up bading in cold sweat. All 3 times I have first thought it is just a dream, but no. The first 2 times I had to be admitted to hospital to avoid shock. I now use Temgesic 0,2 mg to be placed under the toungue. That solves my problem getting fast painrelieve. Now I take Temgesic in stead of Ketogan. Works faster and easyer. I have problems falling asleep but since I am afraid falling asleep when I am not sure the attack is over it does not matter so much. Sometimes I set the alarmclock the wake me up 4 hours after the last tablet. Then I in time will know, if I have to take more tablets or the attack is over. By the way I also dream that I forget not to drink beer. I wake up bading in cold sweat, hearing famely and friends shouting at each other who to blame. They never blame me!
