Jody told us to use only French cut, and cook them very well until tender. If you have to, you might have to purée them, or purée them and put them into the broth (like suggested in the beginning with the carrots)....good when making chicken soup. This took care of our problem. If not the French cut, the other ones are just too hard to digest. Causes mushy stools or diarrhea. Elaine said that what we do not digest well causes harm.
