Guest guest
I am so sorry you are still having these problems with that hospital. I have to agree with Poncho, you need to go some where else. Also you may need a peg tube. I know I hate to say it. You are loosing weight quickly, not tolerating liquids, and cant take meds. You should call your docs and tell them you want a peg. It can give you a lot of strength in a short period of time. It did help me get a lot stronger. Maybe once you got stronger and more hydrated they can work on the cause. Good luck and let meknow how it goes. I'll keep you in my prayers. Chrissy
Guest guest
Chrissy: You know I mentioned that to my hubby today. But, they have to do surgery to put that in. Where they gonna get the vein to put me out? I'm not kidding , there is nothing. The last Broviac I had put in, it was so bad, they finally took me to surgery and put it in under nitrous oxide! They gave me so much nitrous oxide I threw up on the table. They tried feet everything. Personally I don't know why they don't do some kind of venous cut down. But I guess I have to be on my death bed before they will do that. My other question is, will that solve the vein problem? If I have to come to MUSC with a feeding tube, can they put me to sleep through that? I am not coming down there w/o some kind of central line. I cannot take it anymore, the sticking I mean. If I knew they would numb before they stick that's fine, but most places won't. The hospital I have will, but I still don't have anything. Everything blows, collapses or rolls plus my veins are so small it takes a pediatric needle and some of the meds won't go through. Its a mess. I am ready to give up and lay down and quit Im telling you. I have had it! I am going to the doc next week. This is a new GP who is very kind and was kind to me in the hospital. It is of the group that I had but the guy I was going to left and I found out when I went back for post hospital care just what a jerk he was. They had given me a prescription for Protonix. There is a chance that Protonix can cause pancreatitis so I won't take it. I don't need it and I don't know why they gave it to me. Anyway, he says to me, it seems to me you are going to get pancreatitis anyway, you might as well take it! Well Gee Whiz, give me the attack that puts me in the ground why don't ya! The new doc I have happened to take care of me three days when I was in the hospital. He was the kindest most gentle human being I have met since my original doctor retired. He is in the same group but in a different office. They let us transfer our records to the other office and have him as the primary doc. So we will see. I don't have a lot of faith in any of it anymore! Thanks for the advice. Kaye In pancreatitis , " " <cdrrn@c...> wrote: > I am so sorry you are still having these problems with that > hospital.
