Guest guest
IF YOU LIVE IN ARKANSAS, OKLAHOMA, KANSAS, MISSOURI OR TEXAS or you'll just be nearby please come! The Tulsa, Oklahoma OSSG (Obesity Surgery Support Group) regular monthly meeting will be held this Monday, (2nd Monday of each month), at Southcrest Hospital Doctor's Building, 91st & Mingo, Room 295. The meeting starts at 7:00 and goes until we're finish, usually 1-2 hours. This is generally a well attended meeting with 50-60 participants ranging from " just curious " to pre-op and lots of post-ops. There are post-ops who have chosen the Open RNY, the Laparoscopic RNY, the Open Vertical Banded Gastroplasty and the Laparoscopic MGB, (presently there is no DS patient in attendance that I'm aware of). Although the local bariatric surgeon is nearly always in attendance there are oft times patients available for discussion who have chosen doctors in Arkansas, Texas, Pennsylvania, Atlanta, Florida and North Carolina. There is almost always one person who has had major reconstructive surgery as in a panniculectomy. A number of folks also bring snacks and recipes. (Not that any of us like to eat - LOL.) Finally, would some kind soul who's a member of the OSSG main list please post this notice there? I think I had too many messages " bouncing " from that group when my email address changed. I am apparently no longer a member there. Sincerely, na -Reynolds, Tulsa, Oklahoma MGB 12/27/1999 @ 272 - size 28W NOW 09/27/2000 @ 152 - size 12P juliana@...
