Thanks for the reply. After I posted my message yesterday, my pain

spun out of control. I tried to medicate myself with pain meds.

that I had and 2 hours later I decided to go to the ER because the

pain was not letting up. Wierd thing happened on the way, Dr.

Lehman called my house and my husband told him to call my cell phone

because I was on my way to the ER. Anyway, he called and talked me

out of going to the ER and told me to take the other pain med.s that

he originally gave me when I was in the hospital with pancreatitis.

He said to take them every 2 hours (oxycotin) until the pain went

away. He also confirmed that I most definetly have celiac disease,

and that I needed to call him the minute I found out if the

pancreatic stent has moved out of the duct or not. Well, I went

today for the xray and asked the nurse to please find out if the

stent looked like it has moved or not. She told me that she would

call me at home and let me know. When she called, she said the

radiologist said " the stent is in the ULQ and he guesses that it has

moved. " Well, I called the ERCP clinic at Indiana and the nurse

there scheduled me for another appt. for friday for another xray.

They will compare the 2 xrays and make sure the stent is moving

along. If not, then Dr. Lehman suggested that maybe it has clogged

up or that I need another one. I am hoping that the stent has moved

because I don't feel ready for another ERCP but I'm like you and

would rather go through attacks if it meant that I would be pain

free for a couple of months. I do feel better today and have taken

some pain meds at the first sign of any pain. I just really had a

bad day yesterday emotionally and then physically too! It took

100mg of demerol and 40 mg of Oxycotin to knock the pain out

yesterday during the attack. Whew, I would have thought that I

would be sleepy but noooo instead my body decided to stay awake and

I was also very itchy. The oxycotin makes me itch like crazy, but

when it works, it really works. Anyway, I am really glad that I can

come to this board and vent or whatever I need to do to feel better.

It is wonderful to have so many people who can relate with your pain

and still provide some comfort. I hope you have a good day too, and

thanks again for responding.
