Guest guest
Hi all Just a question re: raw goats milk Liam only eats yogart and fruit at the moment, also crackers. He is on goats formula, breast milk and poly cal as well. I really want to put him on raw goats milk instead of formula. The dietitian told me that the raw milk has less vitamins than his formula so I shouldn't do it because he is not eating a balanced diet. No meat and veges. Also she said that he is susceptible to germs from the milk, is this true? We drink the goats milk and we have no problems with it. mum to Liam 1 wcf
Guest guest
I would follow the nutritionist advice. Your immune system is not compromised and so the bugs in the fresh milk will not really bother you but Liam is small and has other problems as well. I know it can be a hassle but the formula is better for him for awhile longer Question (raw milk) > Hi all > Just a question re: raw goats milk > Liam only eats yogart and fruit at the moment, also crackers. Guest guest
Just out of curiosity, why do you want Liam off the formula? I'm just asking because I am also breastfeeding my daughter and was told I needed to supplement. I inquired about goat's milk as well and they told me they didn't recommend it. I was not happy with the ingredients in most formulas until I found one online. It's an organic formula and they have soy and dairy. If you're interested, the website is www.naturesone.com. Guest guest
Our whole family avoids raw milk and products from raw milk. We have literally won the jackpot once with the CF and the chance that you get listeria or E. coli 0157:H7 from raw milk is an unnecessary risk for us. Those of you from the northwestern US may remember the tragedy about unpasteurized apple juice from Odwalla. But then you may know that Fiona was the formula queen for five years and given her good health I am all for formula (and don't care much about organic food in this case). I trink organic grown tea and recommend organic food when you buy it from thirld world countries, but industrial processed food from western countries is fine for me.
