Guest guest
I would say mine was about a 2-3 immediately after surgery. The only time it really bothered me was right after surgery and the pain is nothing that the demoral pump can't take care of for you > >Reply-To: MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com >To: MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com >Subject: Re: Pain Scale >Date: Tue, 05 Sep 2000 20:41:23 -0000 > > > > I was wondering if the post-oppers on the list would mind rating > > their pain, post MGB on a scale of 0 to 10, with 0 being NO pain >and > > 10 being the worst pain you could imagine. > > > > Thanks > > Robin > > Hnderson, NC > >Robin-- > >I'd give my pain a 1 for the first few hours after surgery and a big > " 0 " after that. Guest guest
Robin No pain really. Just a little discomfort for a day or two. Maybe a 1 or 2. Just feels kinda wierd as your bowels settle back into place and the gas works its way out. MGB 8/16/

Guest guest
Look at this... ANOTHER woman worrying about the pain. I believe someone answered my post last week regarding the number of men vs women having surgery and one of the responses was we can't take the pain. :-) Hell, all we worry about is our golf game! FYI - The staples are titanium so they are non magnetic. You don't have to worry about doing a scene from " Alien " while you're in the MRI. > I was wondering if the post-oppers on the list would mind rating > their pain, post MGB on a scale of 0 to 10, with 0 being NO pain and > 10 being the worst pain you could imagine. > > Thanks > Robin > , NC
Guest guest
Ken, Ken, Ken, Ken, Ken It is not me who has the issue with pain. Its my husband. He can't tolerate pain so he naturally ASSUMES that no one can. I was trying to show him that the pain of the MGB is minimal compaired to say...childbirth. I know why God had women birth the babies. I have had 2 children and I must say that my husband would have never made it past the 1st trimester. So far pain has rated about a 4 immediate post op and is essentially gone within a few hours. Thanks for your reply ladies. I wonder what rating the men would give it. You'll have to let us know Ken.
