,

NO,NO you are a BIG help !...Don't ever feel that way!..Yours sounds just like

mine...I think it's at the opening of the duct.

Is that the only way to get stent out is a Whipple?..I remember late last Oct.

they found a kidney stone and sent me to a doctor for it.He said why did you

have the Cat Scan? I told him of my feelings about the stent and

Pancreatitis....He said he could feel a lump and I was right...he was going to

shoot a letter off to my GI..But my GI blew me off...and I'm wondering if it's

what is causing fluid in my lungs.

I just went and had a cardiac work up and will know the results Tuesday.

But that doesn't explain the right upper rib pain.

Now I have to find another GI whose willing to take a good look to see.But where

to begin ?

Have you had a whipple? I want to say no if I remember right. What state are you

in ?...Sorry for all the questions. There is a GI In Ohio close to my home town,

I've heard of.But I haven't seen him yet....Maybe I should take a chance...

Thank you from my heart!

I felt something poke me from the inside out for about 2 months

after the stent was supposed to have fallen out. I mentioned it to

two GI doctors, but they managed to brush it aside, and I thought

well it will show up in xrays if it's there...but hundreds of xrays

later, and many CT scans, it never showed up. Also I had had many

ERCP's and it hadn't been found. Then my final 3rd to final ERCP, it

was found. Chances of it coming out to be found are rare. My GI told

me that most times when a stent is " sucked " deep into the Pancreas

may mean a Whipple being the only way to get it out. But in my case,

it was forced back the way it came.

As for it not showing up on xrays, he told me it is highly possible

to not show up..I think his reasoning was being enveloped by the

soft tissue of the pancreas hiding it from xrays...

My main symptoms were constant pancreatitis, as in only having a few

pain free days at home a month..every other day was spent in

hospital.

Sorry I can't be much help to you.
