Guest guest
I was looking up information on this new medicine & it seems that it inhibits the release of human growth hormone, so it is used for tumors & growths. I visited several sites, but I found this one to be the most helpful..I wanted to share it in case anyone else is interested. http://www.pslgroup.com/dg/c792a.htm Hugs, Deanna Tubb New Mexico PAI Rep
Guest guest
Deanna - I am on sandostatin LAR 30 mcg every 28 days because it decreases the production of pancreatitic enzymes so my defective duct (only the minor papilla is hooked up and working - pancreas divisum) doesn't have to work so hard. I know several people are on it that have cancer. It is used somehow to suppress tumor growth, I believe. Cecilia Mesa, AZ
