Guest guest
Hi, My diagnoses of celiac disease was a shock to me. I had no idea. They diagnosed me with blood tests and biopsies of the small intestines. Dr. Lehman told me to follow a gluten-free diet. I have read that oats have a different kind of gluten in them and that oat flour is ok for some patients. I will call to ask the doc if it is ok or not to eat cereal with oat flour in it. Thanks for the tip. I am also lactose intolerant. I have been since childhood. So I'm guessing that maybe I have had this celiac thing for a long time too. My small bowel was completely atrophied (flattened). The bread that I found was on a web site. It is glutensolutions.com. It is made by a company called Sterk. It is named " sandwich bread " . I have found it to be the best tasting bread yet. I also eat " corn only " tortillas. I have been very concious about reading labels on food products. It does take a bit of practice though, but I am getting used to it. If you can't seem to get the bread shipped to you. Just let me know and I'll ship some to you. It comes vaccumed sealed so it should last pretty long. I had a tough day yesterday with pain, etc. I am feeling better today though. Hope you are well Take care
