I am so sick I can't take it. Help with so me answers soon.

Lucy,

I hope you have already gotten help for this, but if you are still home this

morning, I have some questions and temporary suggestions.

1. What meds are you taking now?

2. Are any of these meds new medication? This would be anything that

you've started in the last 7-10 days.

3. Has your doctor prescribed anything for nausea, like Phenergan

suppositories or pills?

You can suck on a sliver of fresh ginger root (buy it at the produce department

of any grocery). Peel it and cut a small piece and place it in your mouth

between your gums and teeth, it can stop the nausea. I used to do this all the

time and it does work. Or go to the pharmacy and get one of those wrist

bands they make with a patch of dramamine inside that they make for

travelers who are prone to car or air sickness. This has helped me with the

nausea, also. These are all temporary measures you can do before you get

your doctor to prescribe medication to stop it.

Your uncontrollable itching could be caused by an allergic reaction to one of

your meds, or the combination of meds together. Several of the analgesics

have itching as a side effect and when you put two or more of them together,

they can make you miserable.

Meanwhile, can you get some Benadryl? You also might try soaking in a tub

with Aveeno oatmeal soaking powder, or go to a pharmacy and ask the

pharmacist what OTC product they have to help with itching.

Get to your doctor, or the ER, first thing Monday, if this persists. Your

doctor

should be notified.

With love, hope and prayers,

Heidi
