" I think it is very important for someone to know that you have a serious disease in the event you cannot speak for yourself. There is not a specific " Chronic Pancreatitis " alert bracelet, although I have written to the manufacturer to look into having some made available to the PAI. There are two different types of medic alert bracelets that I have that do allow additional information. One is called a " Watchminder. " It's primary purpose is the large selection and variety of alarms and timers. The other is called a " Cadex. " That one actually allows you to enter specific information, your name, doctor, phone number, diagnoses, meds, etc. It looks like a watch, but is larger and has a red alert button. It is obvious enough that if you were unconscious someone would know to push it. This would then initiate the emergency information to scroll. http://www.cadexproducts.com/product.html http://www.watchminder.com/ The other reason it is a good idea to wear a medic alert is that anyone with Pancreatitis has the probability of developing diabetes. This information could be lifesaving if you ended up in a diabetic coma and didn't know you were a diabetic.
