Guest guest
We have been SCD for 5 weeks now. The boys all alternate between diarrhea and constipation - still. In two of them, including my ASD son, there has never been a single sign of any kind of die-off. None. Period. The other son seemed to go through some die-off in the beginning; he was really pale and just did not feel up to his normal self. That one is now constantly hungry, which I understand *can* indicate that he is healing. However, he still alternates between D and C too and never has a " normal " stool either. But why are we not seeing die-off YET? And why, after 5 weeks, is there still the flip-flop between D and C? And why is there no improvement of any kind in anyone? We have stopped almost all supplements (see next sentence), and are *only* eating legal foods, nothing beyond stage 2 (see below). The only " supplements " are Kirkman legal acidophilus, Carlson's Cod Liver Oil, and Swanson's Evening Primrose Oil. The one son that appears to be healing is also taking S.Boulardi (Kirkman legal) since he has C.Difficile. Patty was kind enough to double-check these for me and feels they are fine (Patti, I pulled all other supplements as you suggested, to try to get something to happen here...) We are making using 24-hour goat-milk yogurt, with the legal yogourmet starter. What do we do???? I know this should work for us; how could it not?? The only alternative is going back to the SAD, and that just doesn't make sense when comparing it to SCD for results. So WHY are we not getting results?? I would LOVE feedback from any who can help. Here is what we are eating, if you need it in detail. Everything is " cooked, peeled, seeded " as appropriate: Roast beef (crockpot) unseasoned Roast chicken (crockpot) unseasoned Grilled steak, grilled chicken, occasionally grilled hamburgers Green beans Spinach Cucumbers Very ripe bananas Homemade applesauce Occasionally cooked/peeled peaches Butternut squash 24-hour homemade goat yogurt Eggs (except for my ASD son; he is IGG allergic) Occasionally homemade Ketchup (except for my ASD son; he is IGG allergic to tomatoes) using homegrown tomatoes, basil leaf, white vinegar, honey Honey (some) Legal mustard Almond butter Almond butter muffins and cookies (some) Some olive oil; not much Salt and pepper Apple cidar vinegar (on the spinach) Twice we have made the BTVC cheesecake - twice in 5 weeks Suggestions PLEASE...
