Guest guest
Hi Mike, I work full time with RP and a similar condition that can cause more severe pain, but less " lengthy " . The accomodations that I have needed are just having my boss know that there will be days that I can not come to work, or that I may need to come in late, because I had a hard night sleeping the night before. Luckily I am in a job that has flexibility, although I feel pressure to not miss very much. I am the director in charge of the administration of the office, so visibility is important. I work on days where it wouldn't matter to my pain level whether I stayed home or come into the office. The days that I am too fatigued to work, I don't try to come in to the office. I haven't had to miss more than 6 days this year, and can also make up the time if I choose, as I am an exempt (salaried) employee. This helps my guilt due to the work ethic I impose on myself! I wish you well in your job search and congratulations on finishing your program!! M
