Guest guest
We have given iel pecan halves and a few whole almond here and there in the last couple of weeks to see how he did with them. I never noticed any behavior reactions, and no apparent stool reaction...which means c or d for me since I can't see if undigested food is in his stools. My husband was home today, and helped iel after he had used the toilet. He said that there was a piece of undigested nut in the stool. Here's what I'm wondering. I made the toffee candy recipe from pecan bread, and the vanilla candy recipe from BTVC yesterday. We were at a party today, and I wanted to be able to give iel candy since the other kids would be eating pizza, candy, and cake...those poor kids and parents are destroying their gut and don't even know it. Anyway, could it be the combination of the nuts and honey or poor chewing that would've caused the problem? Should I just play it safe and cut out the large pieces of nuts for another month or so? He does fine with the nut butter and nut flour, but those aren't large pieces, of course? What does anyone think?
