Guest guest
Hello all, I was reading earlier posts on skin sores. Now I would like to add some more skin disorder info. About 7 years ago I noticed a small mark on my left calf area, this started getting larger and larger. After a few months of it growing and not getting any smaller I went to my GP and he biopsied it. Come to find out it is "granuloma annular." (a begnign dermatosis. usually occurs as an idiopathic condition (Gee where else have we heard this??LOL!!!) No known cause and no known cure. After reading the recent posts and after checking into Lupus lesions in the past month or so, I started searching the net again on granuloma annular and low and behold I fould that it often occurs in patients having immunodeficiencies. Anyone else ever had a granuloma annular growth? Just curious. PS, My granuloma annular is just now starting to dissipate! The literature my GP read on it said that it may last up to 10 years! Well, 7 years so far for me. Its biggest stage, it measured in at 2" x 2 1/2" Kim in Nebraska
