Tammy M,

I do acupuncture as well, have been for two years now. It helps alot with my

pain. It is wonderful in restoring my energy. I go once a month now.. I can't

say that it is the sole reason why I was able to go back to work, but I give it

at least a 50% pain relief. I was not a firm beliver before I tried it. And a s

RN I should of been more open minded. But once I started it and saw the

difference that it made for me, I became a believer. It is effective for some

and not others. I do very few herbs but my MD acupuncture doc knows her stuff .

I have noticed a BIG relief with my monthy period pain as well. Nothing like

killing two birds with one stone ! ( Not an old Chinese proverb but it might as

well be !!!!! ).

update and accupuncture

I just had to tell y'all I am starting to feel so much better. I

still have bouts of pain and nausea, but not anything like I was

having. Two weeks ago I was ready to quit my job after the summer,

and today I'm getting ready to walk my dogs around the neighborhood.

I had my third accupuncture treatment today. I noticed a difference

after the first. My spirits were lifted and my energy increased.

I'm still taking phenergan and percocet, but this week I've taken

lower dosages than I have in six months.

The chinese doctor said I have classic symptoms of a cold, clammy

spleen and an overworked liver. Chinese medicine doesn't recognize

the pancreas because it is a gland, so my treatment works to

strengthen the biliary tract. I take a lot of herbs to aid digestion

and to rid the body of the negative. I avoid sugar, red meat, high

fat foods and dairy. I eat like this anyway, so the diet the doctor

prescribed wasn't anything new.

I'm still going to see Dr. Baillie at the end of the month. His PA

was real interested in my experience with the chinese doctor.

Hope everyone is a have pain-free day. Tammy M
