Fab BMs and celiacs question

Hi All

To my absolute amazement and joy Jack has done his first solid poo - and did a

repeat performance too! This is the frst time this has happened in his life and

it was quite a momentous occasion I can tell you! Fingers crossed, this is

hopefully a sign that we are heading in the right direction!

I just wanted to ask a quick question of you celiac moms out there: do any of

you have a child that failed to fulfill the 'failure to thrive' category of the

illness. There is a question as to whether Jack might be celiacs (to save a long

blown out explanation its connected to his siezure disorder) but the doctors

have continually said he can't have it because he looks too healthy. Anyway, I

just wondered whether there were any exceptions to the rule out there to know

whether there is even a slight chance this could be Jack's problem. The doctor's

are 'discussing' it at the moment - but if there's any ammo to be had I'd love

to have it!

Also, I went to see a nutritionist who, though not a fan of scd, accepted my

decision to keep Jack on it since we're seeing results. HOwever, I wanted to

check something he said and I've misplaced my copy of BTVC. Are lentils and

split peas allowed? I thought they weren't but he said they were - can any one

enlighten me?

Thanks as ever for taking the time to read!
