Guest guest
Rob, Good to hear from you again, glad that you are doing so well. I am so happy for you !!! Lily from Ohio Re: HELP ME PLEASE I have Chronic Pancreatitis and no one will... Giovanni, I know what your going through. It is amazing that many ER docs don't know that with CP your enzyme levels can be normal. Your not alone in this a lot of people on this board have had the same experience. I don't understand why your doctor told you surgery won't help, I've never heard that before. I had a whipple just over two years ago and have not had a single episode since. I do have to take the enzymes everytime I eat and the do have some difficulty with digesting fats but these are very manageable. They were able to leave part of my pancreas so I'm not a diabetic. Have you had a mrcp (an MRI of the pancreas). I would recommend seeing a surgeon who is an expert in pancreatic surgery. It can help I went back to work 9 months after my surgery and have missed only one day of work to illness since (the flu). If you have any questions I'd be glad to talk to you. I don't always check the posts so you can e-mail me directly at muspub751@.... I'm sure you're get lots of other good advice, there are many knowledgeable compassionate people here. Good luck, Rob
