Just remember that there is always more than one way to skin a cat. You would like for your daughters to be able to visit him and for him not to smoke. Maybe hitting him between the eyes with the facts will help, but maybe not. He sounds a little stuborn. My father won't do anything if he thinks that he's being forced into it. But... if I appeal to him in a pleading way, he concedes immediately. It's a " stubborn " thing. Good Luck with what ever route you choose.
