Guest guest
Ok. I've been on the diet for seven days now. All I've been able to eat are meat, eggs, cheese, and grape jello. I'm not really tolerating the grape jello, but I don't know what else to do for carbs. I have tried the more so-called tolerable foods, such as, applesauce, green beans, and zucchini (sp?). All were cooked very well and pureed. My stomach is absolutely not accepting these foods (gastroparesis), but my intestines (and my mood!!!) really really like them. In other words, once the food is out of my stomach, I'm fine. It just takes forever for it to leave! So....I think I've come to the conclusion that the gp and the celiac are two entirely different diseases. I've known for a long time that what my intestines are crying out for, my stomach is totally rejecting. They want entirely two different things. I can either be sick because I'm eating sugar, or I can be sick in a different way because I'm eating things my stomach cannot tolerate. You get the point. I'm doing sort of a last ditch cry for help here. Does anyone have ANY idea what could be the problem? The area of my stomach that is so picky is just at the top of the stomach, where the esophagus meets the stomach. I literally feel like someone punched me there when I eat the above mentioned foods. And my back muscles compensate, and therefore I feel like I " m carrying 200 pounds, and my whole body is sore from doing it. I will tell you that I had a huge ulcer in that area before they discovered I had celiac. I don't know if the two are related, but I am thinking not. ?? I know the vagus nerve is there. Could the ulcer have damaged that, and caused the gp? Any thoughts? I'm about ready to need to stop the diet. I can't survive on meat and jello....and this stomach ache. I love the foods and want to do this so badly, but maybe now is just not the time..... ~ Celiac, 34, day seven on SCD, started Diflucan and Olive leaf extract, none of which has made any difference... _________________________________________________________________ Search from any web page with powerful protection.
