I'd certainly come with results, but I wouldn't be overly concerned about them being 'the most up to date'. Also - I had my surgery at the Ambulatory Center. Could be their anesthesiology staff has different requirements. >> I don't know if these facts help, but as a post-op RN who's married to a nurse anesthetist student, here's what I know,or think I know. Pre-op blood work: Need CBC,Renal(chem-7),and an EKG. Pref. within 30 days of surgery. Yes,absolutely anesthesia looks at this and expects it to be on the chart. That's why they don't ask for it, because it's already on there (from the original RN that asked). According to the most recent Anesthesia magazine that my hubby gets. It's the same anesthesia group that covers patients at both and Durham....(and they are hiring CRNA's! Which sounds like they are expanding their practice!). So hope that helps. You know,we mailed down our lab results first, but before I went down I made copies of EVERYTHING! Glad I did, because hubby had to run out to the car and get copies for anesthesia/pre-op RN. Somehow that had gotten lost, so we were glad we made copies.(FYI). Osler 2/21/00 272/
