Guest guest
Hi guys, I have missed this thread, but I must comment. Four years prior to my Whipple, in 1986, I got almost full dentures. Yes, gum disease, and a long history of teeth problems and all that with good frequent dental care. In the subsequent 22 years, I have had almost no problems and deal with all aspects of life easily with dentures. The secret is to get a good fit from a good dentist. It's not a cheap or short journey but overall not too bad. Chronic Panc. does cause a problem though, as it happens and the hydration varies and the weight goes up and down, and the body fat melts, the fit can vary. That is a problem. But try to keep the hydration up and the weight up and all returns to normal. A great dentist is a good assistant with this problem. As for teeth, sometimes it's time to admit the battle is over and it's time to try to adopt another tactic. Best Wishes to all.
