Guest guest
, I looked at 's band and while you say that she has brachy she has a band that looks more like a plagio band. Did CT tell you that she had plagio as well? If she only has brachy, then her band should look different and it shouldn't matter on which side the velcro is. I would ask all those qsts if I were you. My daughter has had her DOC band for almost two weeks with two adjustments specifically for that problem and no luck fixing the irritation it causes on the bulge above her left ear. I called again today and waiting for a clinician to call me back and hopefully see us this afternoon before the weekend approaches. I am beginning to become convinced she needs a new/different band. Maybe the latch should be on the other side! I don't know if it is as simple as that- but has anyone had this problem? I can't believe she still is not in the band full-time! Guest guest
She has brachy and CT said that she may have a touch of plagio. I asked what her band would look like before we got it and she said normally she can tell you, but it would be a close call which one they decided to make for her so she wasn't for sure. Her head bulges slightly more over her left ear which is where the latch space is. I don't think it's noticeable, but since she has her band on, I can definitely tell. > > > From: nataliejo92 <nat.jo.c@...> > Subject: Brachy Band Problems > Plagiocephaly > Date: Friday, September 11, 2009, 1:49 PM > > > > > > > Has anyone had a problem with the bulge above the ears that brachy creates when wearing a band? Guest guest
Hi , I'm not 100% positive, but I think the brachy bands have no " caps " , it's just a circle on top. If she has both brachy and plagio, there would be caps on the side that she has plagio. I would ask CT like Leila said. Keep asking questions until you are satisfied and listen to your gut. Guest guest
My daughter has Plagiocephaly not Brachy but we went to CT this week because she developed a bump or bulging area above her ear where the band comes together. I thought it was a result of shaving out the band in the back and not in the front. However, I was told it is soft tissue buildup, sorta like wearing a sock all day and getting the ring. I was assured it would go away within 4 weeks of taking the band off. I don't know if this is the same thing you are talking about but I thought I would mention it, just in case.Woodbridge, VA From: nataliejo92 <nat.jo.c@...>Subject: Brachy Band ProblemsTo: Plagiocephaly Date: Friday, September 11, 2009, 1:49 PM Has anyone had a problem with the bulge above the ears that brachy creates when wearing a band?
