Guest guest
With Thanksgiving coming up on us, I had a turkey-related question. We always have big family gatherings and most of the family does not have much money or time. Since my husband is around stage 2, we are planning on bringing his own pumpkin pie, cranberry jello (or apple cranberry jello), and maybe a veggie or two depending on what is being served. My question is, how safe is regular turkey if they use SCD-safe seasonings? They usually get cheap or free turkeys with store awards and discounts. Are most store bought turkeys injected with a broth or flavorings of some kind? If so, I can bring some safe turkey cutlets I bought at a health food store. I prefer not to, because I know my family will want him to eat something along with everyone else. They love to bless with food, but there are too many people to try to educate about SCD. -Sharon Wife of Adam - Diagnosed w/ Crohn's 2004 - SCD since June 2006
