Guest guest
I appreciate all of your great advice. if i wasn't seeing such great changes in my son already i would consider quitting until there was a better time but i can't go back to the way he used to eat. that would be like giving heroin to a heroin addict. yes, i am stressed with 2 infants under 4 mos old and all of us being sick with a cold & ear infections this week but we made a decision to do this diet for our son and try to make him well. he has to be one of the pickiest autistic kids around but we are going to figure this out. i have the raw compound form of nystatin which we will mix with a small amount of juice starting tonight. i finally found friendship farmer's cheese after calling 10 places. i am freezing a lot of legal stuff that he isn't eating so i feel i have more ducks in a row now. my pediatrician finally gave me the diagnosis " failure to thrive " so we might be able to include a nutritionist or dietician in on the therapy with the feeding team for picky eaters. the pediatrician said he could still lose more weight because he has more reserves but we should start to get concerned if he loses 2 more pounds. he is down to 26# now. we are scheduled to see a DAN doctor next tuesday 10/10 so we will be getting set up with supplements. this DAN doctor is the one who told me to get my son started on the SCD before the appointment. is it necessary to do a DNA profile for $300. what would be the benefit of that test? we already did urine, stool and blood tests.
