Guest guest
Thanks for your encouragement. I am always honest with my family doc except that I always seem to gloss over how much pain that I actually endure. Just a bad habit of mine I guess. I will be seeing him next week and ask for more pain meds and let him know that my pain has increased. He did prescribe me to take the meds every 4-6 hours but I hadn't had to take it that often in the past. Only now I am finding that since my pain has increased that I have to take the recommended dose and that makes me feel like I am abusing the drug. Funny how the mind works, since I am a recovering addict, I always feel guilty no matter what. Even with the recommended dose I am still feeling lousy and very nauseous. Im sure things will setle down a bit soon. I just want to get to September, so I can have my appt. with Dr. Lehman and see if anything else is going on. He wanted me to wait 6 months so he could check my small intestine and see if there is any healing going on from the celiac disease. He also said that in 6 months that he could better evaluate my pancreatic duct since the sphincterotomy. I hope you are having a pain free day.
