Be sure and visit the main website at www.pancassociation.org for even more information. I appreciate you sharing this website with your doctor. I get two to three phone calls a day from doctors, social workers, or case managers looking for resources for their patients. They are always so grateful to have found something to help them help their patients. I spoke to an insurance case manager today regarding a young child. In discussing options I mentioned the TP/ICT. Initially she said they did not cover transplants. After speaking with her some more and explaining that it was simply a transfer of their own islets, she said that would be something they would be interested in learning more about. She took Dr. Sutherland's information to contact him. It's all about one person helping another person through the exchange of information, support, and advocacy. This occurs every day on the message board, on the phone, and in person. It's amazing watching lives change. Stay in touch with your State Representative and give them information for the state databases. Keep sharing your stories.
