Have been for several years and no, you are not in la la land thinking that this disease will subside. I did it after 9 years and it can happen to you too. One very very important suggestion though, you mentioned hoarseness. Please see an ENT immediately about this. If you need info to take with you about throat involvement and RP let me know and I will email you info on it. Email me at: susuw@... and I will gladly provide info that probably has nothing to do with you, but something for the Ear Nose and Throat doctor to keep for reference to help keep a check on you. The throat area is the most important thing to take care of when it comes to RP, so please find a good ENT and make an appointment immediately, just to rule out RP in that area. I can not stress this enough. So glad you are asking questions, ask all that you have. You will find a wealth of knowledge here and make some great friends too. These people are my family............
