Guest guest
Hi , I sent a second message but it doesn't seem to have gone so I'll try again! Sorry you are suffering just now. I do hope you improve. I thought I ought to add that I have found this disease to go through different stages over the course of my life and I simply don't know how the current treatment regime, including of course Creon, would have helped at times when it was going through a more acute phase. In the 1980's I had a lot of bad flare-ups with constant steatorrhoea and diarrhoea, virtually constant pain, bad malabsorption, weight-loss etc. I have had symptoms of this disease since I was 5 and the pain levels do drop with time, I understand. I've had a long time......55 years to be precise!! My pancreas is now doing very little digestion-wise. It is atrophied and calcified throughout. I am virtually end-stage although I'm not yet diabetic, but expected to be so very soon. I have impaired glucose-tolerance. With good wishes again. Hope the message goes through this time! I very much hope you soon feel better. Fliss (UK)
